Luiz Eduardo Machado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Luiz Fabiano Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rodriguinho Goiano's late challenge caught a Serafina's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rodriguinho Goiano helped the player get up and apologised. Rodriguinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Serafina's João Francisco Valadares tried to score from far away in the 12th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, Porto Seguro F.C's Carlos Mesquita got a free kick in the 13th minute. In the 14th minute, Giuseppe Moreira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dedé Cavalcante was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. If Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Giuseppe Moreira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Cavalcante having to interfere. Porto Seguro F.C's Dedé Cavalcante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giuseppe Moreira in the 25th minute of play. After some careless play in the Porto Seguro F.C defense, Dé Tavares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dedé Cavalcante. The Porto Seguro F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dedé Cavalcante should have stopped the shot. In the 32nd minute, one of Serafina:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Serafina. Carlos Mesquita walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. If João Pedro de Amorim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Giuseppe Moreira fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Serafina's protests and gave Giuseppe Moreira a yellow card for diving instead. In the 47th match minute, Serafina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giuseppe Moreira to maneuver through the defense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and João Pedro de Amorim made a kick off. Luiz Eduardo Machado took the ball and in the 55 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luiz Fabiano Luz. Luiz Fabiano Luz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. With a little luck, Porto Seguro F.C's Dedé Cavalcante got control of the ball when Giuseppe Moreira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Giuseppe Moreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Serafina's Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedé Cavalcante was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. In the 70th minute, Doriva Ramos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Serafina's Luiz Fabiano Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Eduardo Machado in the 75th minute of play. Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Cavalcante having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro de Amorim in the 84th minute of play forced Serafina's goalkeeper Luiz Fabiano Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes, Rodrigo Corrêa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Porto Seguro F.C and the Serafina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedé Cavalcante having to interfere. Giuseppe Moreira scored 1-4 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dedé Cavalcante, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. João Pedro de Amorim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Fabiano Luz having to interfere. Luiz Gustavo de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 96th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded Serafina left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Porto Seguro F.C.
