Fedegoso FC's Antônio Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik de Amaral in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, ASS. ESPORTIVO SAPIRANGA's goalkeeper Tião França had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sérgio Meirelles. In the 17th minute, Gernando Moura reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tião França. The goal made the score 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Fedegoso FC's zone, Guilherme Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Tepedino came out of the goal and Guilherme Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guilherme Marques received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Antônio Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fedegoso FC's Didi Araújo got a free kick in the 66th minute. When Erik de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the ASS. ESPORTIVO SAPIRANGA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erik de Amaral couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Renatinho Ortiz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Antônio Tepedino. The goal made the score 1-1. Marcel Camargo charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marcel Camargo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Fedegoso FC booed when ASS. ESPORTIVO SAPIRANGA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Camargo didn't get a good kick on the ball.
