Maracachita SS's Raúl Gonçalves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Fantini in the 23rd minute of play. Juninho Queiroz made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Chiquinho Santana sent off a good shot on target. Juninho Queiroz was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nelson Fernandes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 27 minute of play. Juninho Moreno made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Maracachita SS's Chiquinho Santana. After having played for 36 minutes, João Soeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Maracachita SS's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Soeiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, IBZ S.C.'s Jonathan Meirelles got a free kick in the 37th minute. Juninho Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelson Fernandes in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, IBZ S.C.'s Nico Fantini sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Raúl Gonçalves narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sidnei Motta made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Sidnei Motta fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Nico Fantini managed to get in a good position for a shot. IBZ S.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Nico Fantini was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Raúl Gonçalves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Sidnei Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, IBZ S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Santana came free, but Juninho Queiroz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 71 played minutes Maracachita SS got a freekick which was hit by Chiquinho Santana. The crowd rose to their feet as IBZ S.C.'s Sidnei Motta slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Raúl Gonçalves. That made the score 2-1 after 77 minutes of play. In the 83rd minute, Nelson Fernandes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Raúl Gonçalves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Motta in the 86th minute of the match. Juninho Queiroz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chiquinho Santana, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When the referee ended the match the Maracachita SS players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
