CEI Rocha's Vinícius Tróia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bolívar Céspedes in the 12th minute of play. Vinícius Tróia made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Bolívar Céspedes sent off a good shot on target. In the 19th minute, Ulisses Mineiro reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vinícius Tróia. The goal made the score 1-1. Krister Mossberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aloísio Vaz in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Einar Dahlqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 25 minutes into the game, Percival Furtado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CEI Rocha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Canoas Futebol Clube the free kick. After 25 played minutes CEI Rocha got a freekick which was hit by Percival Furtado. With a little luck, CEI Rocha's Vinícius Tróia got control of the ball when Alfonso Scutti tried to sneak it across the goal line. CEI Rocha's defense didn't have a chance, in the 29th minute, when Alfonso Scutti scored to the left of an out of position Vinícius Tróia, making the score, 2-1. After 34 minutes of play, Canoas Futebol Clube's Alfonso Scutti made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vinícius Tróia was left in no man's land by his defense there! 43 minutes into the game, one of CEI Rocha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Vinícius Tróia, was totally fooled by Canoas Futebol Clube's Bolívar Céspedes, who 45 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aloísio Vaz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Canoas Futebol Clube fully deserved thier win.
