The crowd rose to their feet as Luiz Fábio Moreno kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sebastian Pueblo. That made the score 2-0 in the 40 minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nilton Valadares to make the kick off. A collision led to Eda Roots getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dorival Bueno hit a great ball. Benjamin Eger might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sebastian Pueblo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Benjamin Eger ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Eda Roots fully deserved thier win.
