Spectators: 7349 (Terracing: 5624, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Nilton Valadares took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 2 played minutes Pomerode FC got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Luís Silva. In the 3rd match minute, Reis do Cortes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vladimir Maciel to maneuver through the defense. Pedro Luís Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 6th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Baltazar Silva made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Cícero Cearense sent off a good shot on target. Reis do Cortes's Sebastian Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Luís Silva in the 15th minute of play. Dinei Berger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Pueblo having to interfere. Sebastian Pueblo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Washington Munhoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. When Nilton Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Reis do Cortes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nilton Valadares couldn't finish the play. Cícero Cearense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Pomerode FC's Washington Munhoz got a free kick in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Luís Silva in the 34th minute of play forced Reis do Cortes's goalkeeper Sebastian Pueblo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 40 minutes of play, Reis do Cortes's Cícero Cearense made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baltazar Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Pomerode FC's goalkeeper Baltazar Silva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Pomerode FC's Juninho Martins seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Juninho Martins the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pomerode FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Juninho Martins had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinei Berger to strike the kick off in the second half. Nilton Valadares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Silva having to interfere. 59 minutes into the match, Reis do Cortes's goalkeeper Sebastian Pueblo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinei Berger. After 61 played minutes Pomerode FC got a freekick which was hit by Dinei Berger. Cícero Cearense struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Baltazar Silva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reis do Cortes. If Cícero Cearense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Washington Munhoz hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Nilton Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reis do Cortes's supporters rose to their feet, but Nilton Valadares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Baltazar Silva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Pomerode FC's Manuel Vaz got a free kick in the 77th minute. Baltazar Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nilton Valadares in the 78th minute of the match. Pomerode FC's Dinei Berger pulled a muscle in his leg after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 81 played minutes Reis do Cortes got a freekick which was hit by João Vítor Mangueira. Dudu Romero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cícero Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baltazar Silva having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Pomerode FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nilton Valadares came free, but Baltazar Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nilton Valadares during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Nilton Valadares hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Baltazar Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nilton Valadares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Reis do Cortes fully deserved thier win.
