The supporters of Reis do Cortes booed when Pilsen FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Paraibano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nilton Valadares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 30 played minutes Pilsen FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Travassos. If Fábio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sebastian Pueblo made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when João Adolfo Aguiar sent off a good shot on target. Reis do Cortes's Sebastian Pueblo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio Travassos in the 36th minute of play. Antônio Godoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Cearense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Pilsen FC's João Adolfo Aguiar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sebastian Pueblo. That made the score 1-0 after 40 minutes of play. Antônio Godoi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Cearense in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fábio Travassos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fábio Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Pueblo having to interfere. 54 minutes into the game, Fábio Travassos cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Sebastian Pueblo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 66 minutes, Nilton Valadares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reis do Cortes's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nilton Valadares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sebastian Pueblo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Adolfo Aguiar went, in the 70th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-0 was the resulting score. Sebastian Pueblo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Adolfo Aguiar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Nilton Valadares struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Antônio Godoi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Reis do Cortes. After 86 played minutes Pilsen FC got a freekick which was hit by Basílio Brito. 92 minutes into the match, Reis do Cortes's Cícero Cearense sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antônio Godoi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 94th match minute, Reis do Cortes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Marques to maneuver through the defense. João Adolfo Aguiar hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Reis do Cortes's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
