Edu Medeiros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Ernesto Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edu Medeiros was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 19 minutes into the game, Gerson Mangueira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aruak S.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nagashow SC the free kick. Gerson Mangueira kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Reynaldo Gerber took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Silvinho do Vale. Silvinho do Vale dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. If Felippe Zonta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 31 minutes, Ernesto Sampaio made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Aruak S.C.'s Edu Medeiros tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpected shot in the 36th minute by Adilson Ferreira got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Aruak S.C.'s Edu Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernesto Sampaio in the 40th minute of play. Ernesto Sampaio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Edu Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ernesto Sampaio to make the kick off. After 50 played minutes Aruak S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Mazinho Albuquerque. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Zonta in the 55th minute of play forced Aruak S.C.'s goalkeeper Edu Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Aruak S.C. defense, Ernesto Sampaio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edu Medeiros. The Aruak S.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edu Medeiros should have stopped the shot. Adilson Ferreira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the game, Nagashow SC's Felippe Zonta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Edu Medeiros made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. When Reginaldo Cosme fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nagashow SC's protests and gave Reginaldo Cosme a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85thth minute of the game Ernesto Sampaio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aruak S.C.'s Edu Medeiros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonçalo Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 89th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonçalo Brito the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aruak S.C.'s Edu Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elói Simões in the 90th minute of play. Mazinho Albuquerque kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Nagashow SC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
