After a defensive mix-up in Guarda SS's zone, Jonas Carneiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Ramalho came out of the goal and Jonas Carneiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jonas Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 51stth minute of the game Jonas Carneiro who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarda SS's Eduardo Ramalho was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Lauro Soeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lauro Soeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Guarda SS's Eduardo Ramalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Carneiro in the 53rd minute of play. Eduardo Ramalho acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 82nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Jonas Carneiro. Jonas Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
