The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Clube Salvador City's Felippe Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luisão Sarmento in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Vianna in the 7th minute of play forced Clube Salvador City's goalkeeper Felippe Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caco Furtado kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Felippe Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cléber Vianna in the 10th minute of the match. A collision led to Clube Salvador City getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Caco Furtado hit a great ball. Lautaro Martinez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Mattos in the 14th minute of play. If Luís Gustavo Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th match minute, Canes City F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osvaldinho Vergílio to maneuver through the defense. Lautaro Martinez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute, Clube Salvador City's Caco Furtado dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Canes City F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 26th minute, when Caco Furtado scored to the left of an out of position Lautaro Martinez, making the score, 2-0. After having played for 28 minutes, Cláudio Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clube Salvador City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 31st minute, Jorge Sabóia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Canes City F.C's Norberto Queiroz got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Lautaro Martinez made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Vânderson Vaz sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléber Vianna in the 40th minute of play forced Clube Salvador City's goalkeeper Felippe Tavares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee felt a red card was in order, 41 minutes into the game, when Jorge Sabóia put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Clube Salvador City fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! Clube Salvador City:s Felippe Tavares showed great skill when he stopped Norberto Queiroz:s penalty. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisão Sarmento was the one to do the kick off. 63 minutes into the game, Clube Salvador City's Cláudio Mattos nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lautaro Martinez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Clube Salvador City's Caco Furtado got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cláudio Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cléber Vianna got free with Felippe Tavares in the 73rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cláudio Mattos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Lautaro Martinez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th minute Luisão Sarmento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felippe Tavares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Caco Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cláudio Mattos scored 4-0 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lautaro Martinez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Cláudio Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lautaro Martinez having to interfere. 93 minutes into the match, Clube Salvador City's goal looked a bit too open when Luisão Sarmento came free, but Felippe Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 94th play minute Cléber Vianna came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Felippe Tavares. 4-1. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Clube Salvador City had won after a very even match.
