Marco Sampaio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juarês Sampaio's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. TabajaraFC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Elano Torres in the 13th minute. The corner ended in Júlio Linhares almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SC Inter's Marco Sampaio did a great save. Jerônimo Tepedino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hermínio Teles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Percival Motta fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TabajaraFC's protests and gave Percival Motta a yellow card for diving instead. 17 minutes into the game, one of TabajaraFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 19th minute there was a penalty for SC Inter. Adriano Secco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Jerônimo Tepedino. 0-1. In the 25th minute Juarês Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. TabajaraFC were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after SC Inter's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Elano Torres took the corner. If Sydney Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Elano Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot. TabajaraFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elano Torres was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marco Sampaio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. TabajaraFC's Jerônimo Tepedino played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sydney Hoffmann in the 47th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The wind increased when Juarês Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. Hermínio Teles in the 51stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jerônimo Tepedino, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Marco Sampaio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juarês Sampaio in the 55th minute of play. The supporters of SC Inter booed when TabajaraFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Nascimento didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 65 minutes, Juarês Sampaio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the TabajaraFC and the SC Inter players grew even worse after the yellow card. Juarês Sampaio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Sydney Hoffmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Jerônimo Tepedino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 73 minutes into the match, TabajaraFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sydney Hoffmann came free, but Jerônimo Tepedino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Juvenal Alagoano fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Inter's protests and gave Juvenal Alagoano a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes SC Inter got a freekick which was hit by Juvenal Alagoano. In the 78th minute, Juarês Sampaio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodrigo Fonseca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jerônimo Tepedino made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hermínio Teles in the 81st minute. After a rather tough play, SC Inter's Cícero Nunes got a free kick in the 85th minute. Juarês Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Sampaio having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Hermínio Teles put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Jerônimo Tepedino. With a little luck, TabajaraFC's Jerônimo Tepedino got control of the ball when Hermínio Teles tried to sneak it across the goal line. The TabajaraFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Inter's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Inter.
