The supporters of Clube Salvador City booed when FC Hells Bells was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jean Hoffmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cláudio Mattos in the 6th minute of play forced FC Hells Bells's goalkeeper João Paulo Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Clube Salvador City's Felippe Tavares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardinho Moura in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Caco Furtado took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for João Paulo Reis to make any attempt to save it. In the 13th minute, Cláudio Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 16 minutes of play, FC Hells Bells's Doni Bertassi made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Felippe Tavares was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ricardinho Moura took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Felippe Tavares. Felippe Tavares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Felippe Tavares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Felippe Tavares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ricardinho Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cláudio Mattos in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg João Paulo Reis saved FC Hells Bells from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Caco Furtado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. João Paulo Reis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cláudio Mattos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jean Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ricardinho Moura to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jean Hoffmann got free with Felippe Tavares in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Felippe Tavares was a little too slow when Jean Hoffmann got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 1-3. When Jean Hoffmann was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. A collision led to FC Hells Bells getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Jean Hoffmann hit a great ball. Clube Salvador City's Cláudio Mattos got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luís Gustavo Linares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. João Paulo Reis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. João Paulo Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caco Furtado, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Cláudio Mattos struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. João Paulo Reis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Clube Salvador City. In the 72nd minute, Clube Salvador City's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ricardinho Moura fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Felippe Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Moura in the 86th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Caco Furtado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but João Paulo Reis was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. In the 89th minute Caco Furtado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Paulo Reis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Reis came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Salvador City's Caco Furtado. But to his dismay, Caco Furtado quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Felippe Tavares didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 94th minute, which inside left pole to 2-5. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched FC Hells Bells eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
