Ediberto Pontes took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Azconzábal Argomedo. Azconzábal Argomedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Azconzábal Argomedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ediberto Pontes in the 12th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Ediberto Pontes kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Azconzábal Argomedo. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. Dráusio Ortiz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Azconzábal Argomedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 30th minute by Ediberto Pontes got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Ediberto Pontes might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Azconzábal Argomedo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ediberto Pontes ran back to his position shaking his head. Umberto Marinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Azconzábal Argomedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 37 minutes, Vinícius dos Santos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Arraias's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vinícius dos Santos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Azconzábal Argomedo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Marinho in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Arraias's goalkeeper Azconzábal Argomedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júlio Donatello.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ediberto Pontes was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Arraias's goal looked a bit too open when Ediberto Pontes came free, but Azconzábal Argomedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ediberto Pontes took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Azconzábal Argomedo. Azconzábal Argomedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. In the 72nd minute, Vinícius dos Santos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 74 minutes into the game, Ediberto Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Azconzábal Argomedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Azconzábal Argomedo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ediberto Pontes in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Arraias's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio Donatello came free, but Azconzábal Argomedo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Ediberto Pontes's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Azconzábal Argomedo was relentless in the 86th minute of the game. Dráusio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Império had played much better football throughout.
