Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Ronaldão Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Estrela Vermelha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldão Oliveira couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ronaldão Oliveira was the one to do the kick off. Ronaldão Oliveira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Genílson Pitta having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Absoluto FC's zone, Tomé Fantini stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Genílson Pitta came out of the goal and Tomé Fantini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tomé Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Genílson Pitta made a huge save. After 72 played minutes Absoluto FC got a freekick which was hit by Luan Vaz. Genílson Pitta made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Fernandinho Berger sent off a good shot on target. Estrela Vermelha's Dalmo Peres got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Absoluto FC booed when Estrela Vermelha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronaldão Oliveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Dalmo Peres came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Estrela Vermelha fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dalmo Peres couldn't finish the play. If Dalmo Peres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Estrela Vermelha's Aírton Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Waldir de Godoi in the 92nd minute of play. Tomé Fantini could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Genílson Pitta made a huge save. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
