Luan Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Nilton Sampaio took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Azconzábal Argomedo. Azconzábal Argomedo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nilton Sampaio to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Samuca Costa in the 51st minute of play forced Sporting Malvinas's goalkeeper Breno Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Azconzábal Argomedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Luís Fernando Barreto did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-4 to the left of a surprised Azconzábal Argomedo 96 minutes into the match. The Arraias fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Sporting Malvinas were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
