In the 48th minute, Flu Galático's Alan Prestes seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Alan Prestes the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Flu Galático protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Alan Prestes had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 47 minutes into the game, one of Flu Galático:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Vilfes FC a penalty, 50 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Antônio Cavalcante, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Flu Galático's Antônio Velasco. 0-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zézinho de Barros stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the game, Marcos Urbano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Antônio Velasco was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Vilfes FC's Eduardo Sabóia shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 60th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Nicolas Marquez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Cristóvão Jacinto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Antônio Velasco, 0-6. Manoel Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antônio Velasco having to interfere. Flu Galático's defense didn't have a chance, in the 76th minute, when Cristóvão Jacinto scored to the left of an out of position Antônio Velasco, making the score, 0-7. Sebastião Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Furlan in the 81st minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcos Urbano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Velasco. That made the score 0-8 in the 82 minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zézinho de Barros during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Zézinho de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Velasco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucas Cavalcante in the 89th minute of play. Victor Furlan hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Zézinho de Barros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Antônio Velasco made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Lucas Cavalcante kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antônio Velasco. That made the score 0-9 in the 93 minute of play. Sebastião Fernandes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nicolas Marquez in the 99th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Flu Galático's zone, Marcos Urbano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antônio Velasco came out of the goal and Marcos Urbano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the final whistle sounded Vilfes FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Flu Galático.
