Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Nilton Sampaio made the kick off which started today's match. Luís Fernando Barreto's late challenge caught a Império's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luís Fernando Barreto helped the player get up and apologised. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ediberto Pontes in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Breno Freire prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sporting Malvinas's Afonso Santos got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the game, Império's Dráusio Ortiz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Breno Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Luís Paulo Garcia came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Sporting Malvinas's Nilton Sampaio. But to his dismay, Nilton Sampaio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Luís Fernando Barreto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Luís Paulo Garcia made a huge save. Júlio Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Freire having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Malvinas getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Silvinho de Amorim hit a great ball. In the 33rd minute Nilton Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Paulo Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Império's Luís Paulo Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Império from getting a goal against them. Luís Paulo Garcia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jardel Perez in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Império getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Ediberto Pontes hit a great ball. Breno Freire stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ediberto Pontes's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Júlio Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Império fans' excitement grew in the 45th match minute when Império's Ediberto Pontes looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The Sporting Malvinas players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Império were winning 1-2.

Breno Freire came out of the goal in the 51st minute to try and stop a shot by Império's Dráusio Ortiz. But to his dismay, Dráusio Ortiz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Sílvio Luís Tasso kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Umberto Marinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sporting Malvinas's Luís Fernando Barreto couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Império. A collision led to Sporting Malvinas getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Afonso Santos hit a great ball. Ediberto Pontes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Breno Freire made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Império's Dráusio Ortiz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Breno Freire. That made the score 1-4 after 60 minutes of play. Ediberto Pontes got his second yellow card in the match during the 64th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 64th match minute, Império was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Pontes to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Júlio Donatello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Império fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Dráusio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Júlio Donatello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Donatello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Breno Freire having to interfere. Sporting Malvinas's Breno Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Malvinas from getting a goal against them. Breno Freire was out of position in the 78 minute of play, and Dráusio Ortiz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dráusio Ortiz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. With a little luck, Sporting Malvinas's Breno Freire got control of the ball when Júlio Donatello tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráusio Ortiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Barros hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 94th minute of the match, Júlio Donatello got a very nice opportunity to score, but Breno Freire was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post.
