When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Eduardo Sabóia kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. 57 minutes into the match, Júlio Donatello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Sebastião Fernandes. Vilfes FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Júlio Donatello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. The supporters of Império booed when Vilfes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Cavalcante didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61st play minutes Ediberto Pontes shot 4-0, a short shot which went by Sebastião Fernandes and just under the crossbar into goal. 70 minutes into the game, Júlio Donatello was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sebastião Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dráusio Ortiz, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vilfes FC's goalkeeper Sebastião Fernandes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Sebastião Fernandes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júlio Donatello went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Sebastião Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Júlio Donatello in the 85th minute of play. 91 minutes into the game, Império's Ediberto Pontes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sebastião Fernandes made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Didi Toscano hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. When the referee ended the match the Império players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
