The referee ignored Arrebol SS's protests and gave Márcio Varela a yellow card for diving instead. If Elias Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Manfredo Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Trancoso having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Golabeira's goal looked a bit too open when Eusébio Salles came free, but Marcos Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Arrebol SS's goalkeeper Mário Trancoso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno Pereira. When the match was over Golabeira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Arrebol SS throughout the match.
