An unexpectedly hard shot by Raimundo Corrêa in the 81st minute of play forced Vila Mariana FC's goalkeeper Wanderson Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Mariana FC's goalkeeper Wanderson Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 94 played minutes, Vila Mariana FC's Edu Salgado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filip Zabrzeski came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Vila Mariana FC reached it. After 97 minutes of play, C.R. Vasco da Gama's Pedro Augusto Baptista made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wanderson Valladares was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the referee ended the match the C.R. Vasco da Gama players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
