Spectators: 7596 (Terracing: 5698, Seating: 1747, VIP seats: 151) Hernani Motta might have been able to make a better finish in the 2nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Edson Maciel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hernani Motta ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 4th minute Geovani Senna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edson Maciel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Magno Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 7 minutes into the match Przemyslaw Ankiewicz climbed in front of goal and pressed up 1-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Marcos Messias. A collision led to ABC RN getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Fabrício Fontes hit a great ball. If Hernani Motta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 15th minute, Golabeira's Marcus Albuquerque seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Marcus Albuquerque the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Golabeira protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marcus Albuquerque had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 15th minute, one of Golabeira:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Golabeira. Marcos Messias had in the 17thth minute some difficulties stopping Luís Gustavo Vieira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 20 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Ankiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Messias. Golabeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Przemyslaw Ankiewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Golabeira's Marcos Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Maria Rocha in the 22nd minute of play. Przemyslaw Ankiewicz scored 3-0 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Marcos Messias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Edson Maciel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Magno Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Geovani Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marcos Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maria Rocha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

After 52 played minutes ABC RN got a freekick which was hit by Doriva Paraense. After having played for 55 minutes, Magno Pereira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Golabeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magno Pereira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geovani Senna came free with the goalkeeper in the 60th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edson Maciel could save by the left post. Edson Maciel made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Luiz Eduardo Leão sent off a good shot on target. When Magno Pereira came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Golabeira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Magno Pereira couldn't finish the play. Marcos Messias came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by ABC RN's José Maria Rocha. But to his dismay, José Maria Rocha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Magno Pereira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 87 minutes into the match, Golabeira's goal looked a bit too open when José Maria Rocha came free, but Marcos Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Przemyslaw Ankiewicz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcos Messias. Golabeira's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Przemyslaw Ankiewicz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 5-0. If Magno Pereira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Maria Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. ABC RN were victorious despite being under pressure from Golabeira for much of the match.
