Paradinha FC's Serginho Luz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Toscano in the 20th minute of play. Paradinha FC's Eliseu Custódio pulled a muscle in his leg after 23 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodolfo Ribeiro during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rodolfo Ribeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Ricardinho Munhoz charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardinho Munhoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Paradinha FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ricardinho Munhoz hit a great ball. Serginho Luz was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Reginaldo Diniz. Olavo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Paradinha FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Marcinho Lopez hit a great ball. With a little luck, Paradinha FC's Serginho Luz got control of the ball when Valdemar do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 44th minute Olavo Lopes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luiz Guilherme Teles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Lopes to make the kick off. Serginho Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar do Vale in the 59th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Ricardinho Munhoz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute of the match Reginaldo Diniz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Serginho Luz skillfully saved the ball. Serginho Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aníbal Damião recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 67 minutes into the game, Alberto Maranhense was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Buba & Gump F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Paradinha FC the free kick. After 67 played minutes Buba & Gump F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alberto Maranhense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdemar do Vale in the 71st minute of play forced Paradinha FC's goalkeeper Serginho Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Guilherme Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Olavo Lopes in the 82nd minute. Olavo Lopes might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Guilherme Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Olavo Lopes ran back to his position shaking his head. After 89 played minutes Paradinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Mário Cardoso. After 90 played minutes, Buba & Gump F.C.'s Reginaldo Diniz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Serginho Luz came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Buba & Gump F.C. reached it. Olavo Lopes struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Luiz Guilherme Teles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paradinha FC. If Olavo Lopes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Buba & Gump F.C. had won after a very even match.
