In the 14th match minute, Paradinha FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olavo Lopes to maneuver through the defense. Eliseu Custódio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Marcos Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 18 played minutes Paradinha FC got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Custódio. 22 minutes into the match, Paradinha FC's goalkeeper Serginho Luz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magno Pereira. In the 27th minute of the match, Hernani Motta tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Serginho Luz saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Hernani Motta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Golabeira's supporters rose to their feet, but Hernani Motta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Serginho Luz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Senna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serginho Luz having to interfere. Serginho Luz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geovani Senna in the 35th minute of play. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Hernani Motta sped through Paradinha FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Serginho Luz. After a defensive mix-up in Paradinha FC's zone, Magno Pereira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serginho Luz came out of the goal and Magno Pereira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Geovani Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hernani Motta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Serginho Luz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Serginho Luz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Magno Pereira went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernani Motta to strike the kick off in the second half. When Válbson Eger fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Paradinha FC's protests and gave Válbson Eger a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hernani Motta in the 53rd minute of play forced Paradinha FC's goalkeeper Serginho Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ricardinho Munhoz charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ricardinho Munhoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Serginho Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernani Motta, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Golabeira's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hernani Motta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Olavo Lopes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Marcos Messias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Olavo Lopes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Golabeira had played much better football throughout.
