After a defensive mix-up in Vila Mariana FC's zone, Evaristo Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wanderson Valladares came out of the goal and Evaristo Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Evaristo Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Vila Mariana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cido Barreto to maneuver through the defense. Evaristo Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere. Betinho do Vale took the ball and in the 35 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dadá Gonçalves. Dadá Gonçalves dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Artur Berger blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wanderson Valladares having to make a save. Artur Berger's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wanderson Valladares read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 42nd minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evaristo Silveira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Evaristo Silveira came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Old Glory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Evaristo Silveira couldn't finish the play. Betinho do Vale could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Dadá Gonçalves made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Betinho do Vale got free with Dadá Gonçalves in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evaristo Silveira might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Wanderson Valladares. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Evaristo Silveira ran back to his position shaking his head. Old Glory's Evaristo Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Old Glory's goalkeeper Dadá Gonçalves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cido Barreto. When the match clock showed 79 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Evaristo Silveira sped through Vila Mariana FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Wanderson Valladares. Evaristo Silveira took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wanderson Valladares. Wanderson Valladares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Artur Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Wanderson Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Old Glory's Waldir Fantini got a free kick in the 90th minute. Edu Salgado, 91 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Evaristo Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Old Glory's supporters rose to their feet, but Evaristo Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wanderson Valladares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Waldir Fantini hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Old Glory had played much better football throughout.
