The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eusébio Salles was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, C.R. Vasco da Gama's Manuel Mandrak got a free kick in the 58th minute. After 64 played minutes Arrebol SS got a freekick which was hit by Sebastião Luz. Przemyslaw Zdeb scored 2-1 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mário Trancoso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arrebol SS's Diamantino Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasco da Gama's Filip Zabrzeski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eusébio Salles in the 84th minute of play. Raimundo Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Trancoso having to interfere. With a little luck, Arrebol SS's Mário Trancoso got control of the ball when Przemyslaw Zdeb tried to sneak it across the goal line. Raimundo Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. C.R. Vasco da Gama were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
