Cafu Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Corrêa in the 4th minute of play. Cacá Andrade took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wanderson Valladares. Wanderson Valladares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Wanderson Valladares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vila Mariana FC's Wanderson Valladares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vitinho Cerezo in the 11th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fellipe Cordeiro in the 12th minute of play forced Vila Mariana FC's goalkeeper Wanderson Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cacá Andrade took the ball and in the 13 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wanderson Valladares. Wanderson Valladares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Cafu Capixaba showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Corrêa in the 23rd minute of the match. If Vitinho Cerezo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cido Barreto during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cacá Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. With a little luck, Tigrinho's Cafu Capixaba got control of the ball when Betinho do Vale tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tigrinho's Cafu Capixaba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Corrêa in the 37th minute of play. If Cido Barreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cafu Capixaba was a little too slow when Augusto Corrêa got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Augusto Corrêa made the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Valladares was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Germano Pires showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-3 in the 56 minute of play. Cafu Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdomiro Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cafu Capixaba made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Augusto Corrêa in the 66th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Betinho do Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cafu Capixaba saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tigrinho's Germano Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Germano Piress short, quick shot in the 81stth minute got Wanderson Valladares to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Vila Mariana FC's Augusto Corrêa got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cafu Capixaba took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Betinho do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Cacá Andrade took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Wanderson Valladares to make any attempt to save it. After a rather tough play, Tigrinho's Kléber Carioca got a free kick in the 94th minute. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tigrinho walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
