The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When Cido Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vila Mariana FC's protests and gave Cido Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vila Mariana FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Cido Barreto hit a great ball. HASBAR FC's Pedro Luiz Mesquita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augusto Corrêa in the 14th minute of play. Oséas Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséas Xavier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Chiquinho Vargas's late challenge caught a Vila Mariana FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chiquinho Vargas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, HASBAR FC's Chiquinho Vargas got a free kick in the 24th minute. 25 minutes into the match, Vila Mariana FC's Betinho do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Luiz Mesquita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Augusto Corrêa received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Pedro Luiz Mesquita came out and tried to block the shot, but Augusto Corrêa slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. If Oséas Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Breno Tepedino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere. Wanderson Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Oséas Xavier, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. If Oséas Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Genílson Ortiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Augusto Corrêa to strike the kick off in the second half. Wanderson Valladares made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Oséas Xavier sent off a good shot on target. Oséas Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere. Breno Tepedino struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Wanderson Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HASBAR FC. Oséas Xavier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Wanderson Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Cido Barreto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oséas Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oséas Xavier's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 72ndth minute, Wanderson Valladares skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Vila Mariana FC's Betinho do Vale got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oséas Xavier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere. If Breno Tepedino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiquinho Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Valladares having to interfere. 85 minutes into the match, Vila Mariana FC's goalkeeper Wanderson Valladares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Oséas Xavier. A hard shot 86 in the game by Wesley Pitta from a close distance when the talented Wanderson Valladares managed to make a qualified save. Vila Mariana FC's players were relieved. Pedro Luiz Mesquita came out of the goal in the 88th minute to try and stop a shot by Vila Mariana FC's Augusto Corrêa. But to his dismay, Augusto Corrêa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After 90 minutes of play Vila Mariana FC's Willian de Barros was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 91st minute, Willian de Barros hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Vila Mariana FC's Wanderson Valladares got control of the ball when Oséas Xavier tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the referee blew the final whistle, Vila Mariana FC could leave the field as winners, despite HASBAR FC having more of the ball for most of the match.
