Hernani Motta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Guilherme Teles having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, Geovani Senna had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Guilherme Teles. Buba & Gump F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Geovani Senna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Luiz Guilherme Teles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Pereira in the 17th minute of play. Valdemar do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 20th minute, Benjamim Gonçalves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcos Messias was out of position in the 21 minute of play, and Erik Toscano capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Toscano really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. When Golabeira's Magno Pereira in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luiz Guilherme Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

Buba & Gump F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 53rd minute, when Geovani Senna scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Guilherme Teles, making the score, 1-3. After 55 played minutes Buba & Gump F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Erik Toscano. After a defensive mix-up in Golabeira's zone, Valdemar do Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Messias came out of the goal and Valdemar do Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 67 minutes into the game, Hernani Motta cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Luiz Guilherme Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Golabeira booed when Buba & Gump F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdemar do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Golabeira's goal looked a bit too open when Valdemar do Vale came free, but Marcos Messias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marcos Messias didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erik Toscano went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-4 was the resulting score. Hernani Motta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Luiz Guilherme Teles came out and tried to block the shot, but Hernani Motta slotted it home off the left post making it 2-5 in the 86th minute. Marcos Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdemar do Vale in the 94th minute of the match. Marcos Messias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valdemar do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute of the match Buba & Gump F.C. got a corner. Golabeira's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Reginaldo Diniz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Reginaldo Diniz made a great header on Buba & Gump F.C.'s corner, it was just that Golabeira's Marcos Messias managed to reach the ball for a save.
