Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fred França got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Sydney Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 minutes, Fred França mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BARRANCA FC and the DC Olina players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes BARRANCA FC got a freekick which was hit by Fred França. João Carlos do Vale charged in rather forcefully in the 8th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed João Carlos do Vale the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 8th minute, João Carlos do Vale hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, DC Olina's José Augusto Almeida got control of the ball when Jean Albuquerque tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 13th minute, Perivaldo de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred França recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sydney Chaves in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hílton Meirelles saved BARRANCA FC from getting behind. DC Olina's Ruy Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sydney Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Perivaldo de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 30th minute Sydney Chaves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hílton Meirelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes BARRANCA FC got a freekick which was hit by Jean Albuquerque. In the 36th match minute, BARRANCA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by William Gaspar to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 38 minutes, Sydney Chaves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. DC Olina's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sydney Chaves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rdth minute of the game Sydney Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BARRANCA FC's Hílton Meirelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. BARRANCA FC's Hílton Meirelles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruy Dantas in the 44th minute of play. In the 46th minute, Perivaldo de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Sydney Chaves was the one to do the kick off. Ruy Dantas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hílton Meirelles having to interfere. After 57 minutes of play, DC Olina's Sydney Chaves made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hílton Meirelles was left in no man's land by his defense there! José Augusto Almeida took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jean Albuquerque, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. DC Olina's José Augusto Almeida played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred França in the 72nd minute of play. Sydney Chaves could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Hílton Meirelles made a huge save. When William Gaspar fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored BARRANCA FC's protests and gave William Gaspar a yellow card for diving instead. Sydney Chaves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 75thth minute tested the skills of Hílton Meirelles when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 80thth minute of the game Sydney Chaves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but BARRANCA FC's Hílton Meirelles was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. José Augusto Almeida showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Albuquerque in the 81st minute of the match. After 85 minutes of play, BARRANCA FC's Jean Albuquerque made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. José Augusto Almeida was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, BARRANCA FC's Fred França got a free kick in the 89th minute. In the 91st minute of the match Thiago de Sousa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hílton Meirelles skillfully saved the ball. The supporters of DC Olina booed when BARRANCA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Carlos do Vale didn't get a good kick on the ball. DC Olina were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
