Maurinho Diniz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Arlindo dos Santos came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the A.D.Cerquilhense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlindo dos Santos couldn't finish the play. Marquinhos Andrade was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. A collision led to Piavore FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marquinhos Andrade hit a great ball. Arlindo dos Santos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Osmar de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Duarte Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Maurinho Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Piavore FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gláuber Xavier to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute, Christiano Sergipano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Through an outstanding action, after 30 minutes, Osmar de Senna successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Osmar de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cássio Meireles in the 36th minute of play. Osmar de Senna stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo dos Santos's shot from short distance in the 37th minute. Duarte Lira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maurinho Diniz having to interfere. After 41 minutes of play, Piavore FC's Alan Mandrak made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maurinho Diniz was left in no man's land by his defense there! Osmar de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arlindo dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alan Mandrak to strike the kick off in the second half. A.D.Cerquilhense's Maurinho Diniz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save A.D.Cerquilhense from getting a goal against them. The audience was convinced that Alan Mandrak's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maurinho Diniz was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Duarte Lira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Maurinho Diniz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nelson Perez in the 76th minute of play forced Piavore FC's goalkeeper Osmar de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Piavore FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Alan Mandrak hit a great ball. Cristiano Brito hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Alan Mandrak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Maurinho Diniz having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Leal in the 91st minute of play forced Piavore FC's goalkeeper Osmar de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Piavore FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
