The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 minutes of play, Piavore FC's Leopoldo Recife made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alan Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alan Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Piavore FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Alan Mandrak hit a great ball. 23 minutes into the match, Leopoldo Recife dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Moisés da Costa, 2-0. In the 26th minute Leopoldo Recife shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dieguinho Reis hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Moisés da Costa was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Leopoldo Recife capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Leopoldo Recife really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Leopoldo Recife managed to get in a good position for a shot. Piavore FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leopoldo Recife was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Moisés da Costa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Osmar de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alan Mandrak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, David Arce hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christiano Sergipano in the 39th minute of play forced Atlético Canelada Sport's goalkeeper Moisés da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Osmar de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Alan Mandrak hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Osmar de Senna went to the wrong direction when David Arce was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alexandre Marques to make the kick off. David Arce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osmar de Senna having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, David Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Canelada Sport's supporters rose to their feet, but David Arce was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osmar de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alexandre Marques recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Diguinho Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Christiano Sergipano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Moisés da Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Christiano Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moisés da Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th minute, Duarte Lira made a precise shot to the right of Moisés da Costa. Atlético Canelada Sport's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. Moisés da Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christiano Sergipano in the 77th minute of play. After 78 played minutes Piavore FC got a freekick which was hit by Leopoldo Recife. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Recife in the 83rd minute of play forced Atlético Canelada Sport's goalkeeper Moisés da Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flavinho Antunes's late challenge caught a Piavore FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavinho Antunes helped the player get up and apologised. Piavore FC made a substitution. Luiz Paulo Amorim replaced Leopoldo Recife. In the 86th minute, Flavinho Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Atlético Canelada Sport were furious when Flavinho Antunes was red carded, 88 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 88th minute of the game. One of Atlético Canelada Sport:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Piavore FC:s goal. The referee gave Piavore FC a penalty, 90 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Duarte Lira, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Atlético Canelada Sport's Moisés da Costa. 6-0. Moisés da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Breno Leal, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Piavore FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Atlético Canelada Sport for a fine match.
