When José Hames fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Areia FC's protests and gave José Hames a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of LORD FOOT booed when Areia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Hames didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lucio Satordi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Eriberto do Valle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eriberto do Valle made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucio Satordi in the 16th minute. After 23 minutes, Faustão Damião mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Areia FC and the LORD FOOT players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Areia FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Faustão Damião hit a great ball. In the 24th minute Dorian Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dre Loos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, LORD FOOT's goal looked a bit too open when Dorian Trigo came free, but Dre Loos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Areia FC's Eriberto do Valle got control of the ball when Lucio Satordi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as LORD FOOT's Lucio Satordi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Eriberto do Valle. That made the score 1-0 after 29 minutes of play. 32 minutes into the match, Areia FC's goalkeeper Eriberto do Valle had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucio Satordi. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roberto Paraíba during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Roberto Paraíba kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Areia FC's zone, Claudinho Pombal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eriberto do Valle came out of the goal and Claudinho Pombal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With his leg Eriberto do Valle managed to avoid a goal in the 37thth minute, when LORD FOOT's Lucio Satordi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucio Satordi struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Eriberto do Valle didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LORD FOOT. Pedrinho Messias took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eriberto do Valle. Eriberto do Valle dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lucio Satordi to strike the kick off in the second half. Lucio Satordi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Satordi couldn't finish the play. Claudinho Pombal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lucio Satordi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When LORD FOOT's Pedrinho Messias in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eriberto do Valle prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 91 minutes into the game, Armando Prestes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. When Lucio Satordi came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the LORD FOOT fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucio Satordi couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the LORD FOOT players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
