To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 15 minutes into the match, Patrick Messias notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gears of War MZT's Elano Motta. Elano Motta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 19th match minute, ALFA center´s was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Júlio de Barros to maneuver through the defense. 22 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Messias came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Elano Peixoto kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. Elano Motta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Abraão, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Gears of War MZT's Pedrinho Guimarães couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 59th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for ALFA center´s. Mário Abraão received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elano Motta came out and tried to block the shot, but Mário Abraão slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 65th minute. 69 minutes into the match, ALFA center´s's goal looked a bit too open when Percival Prata came free, but Erasmo Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedrinho Guimarães in the 73rd minute of play forced ALFA center´s's goalkeeper Erasmo Dias to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute, ALFA center´s's Mário Abraão ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Elano Motta. Elano Motta yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. ALFA center´s's Erasmo Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Prata in the 79th minute of play. Olívio Trigo struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Erasmo Dias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gears of War MZT. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind ALFA center´s's goalkeeper Erasmo Dias, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júlio de Barros hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. ALFA center´s's Erasmo Dias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Percival Prata in the 83rd minute of play. Gears of War MZT's Hudson Abreu got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The ALFA center´s supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing ALFA center´s would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
