Ademar Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aiuaba's Valdir Lira got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Ademar Gerber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aiuaba's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grêmio Imortal the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Aiuaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ademar Gerber to maneuver through the defense.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tião Velasco to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute there was a penalty for Grêmio Imortal. In the 64thth minute of the game Tião Velasco who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aiuaba's Paulo Renato de Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Faustão Corrêa struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Paulo Renato de Souza didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Grêmio Imortal. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Imortal's Silvinho Aparecido got a free kick in the 98th minute. Rafa de Moraes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 99th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlos Augusto Esteves. Grêmio Imortal's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.
