Taguarussu SS's Alberto Pires played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonel Alves in the 3rd minute of play. Matías Alcântara's late challenge caught a Team Aqua's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Matías Alcântara helped the player get up and apologised. Matías Alcântara hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Moreno in the 9th minute of play forced Team Aqua's goalkeeper Richard Baptista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Team Aqua's Richard Baptista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erik Moreno in the 10th minute of play. 10 minutes into the game, one of Team Aqua:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Richard Baptista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Gonçalves in the 13th minute of play. Lúcio Messias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Leonel Alves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alberto Pires didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Paulinho das Neves went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Leonel Alves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alberto Pires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Alves in the 24th minute of the match. Richard Baptista showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erik Moreno in the 37th minute of the match. If Paulinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Team Aqua booed when Taguarussu SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Natã de Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulinho das Neves was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 49th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Alves made a kick off. After 55 minutes Taguarussu SS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was João Francisco Brito who took care of the corner kick. João Francisco Brito made a great header on Team Aqua's corner, it was just that Taguarussu SS's Alberto Pires managed to reach the ball for a save. Leonel Alves sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, Taguarussu SS's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Alves came free, but Alberto Pires reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Leonel Alves came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Team Aqua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonel Alves couldn't finish the play. Simão Gaúcho hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Leonel Alves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Team Aqua's Leonel Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alberto Pires made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. A collision led to Taguarussu SS getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Célio de Godoy hit a great ball. After 88 played minutes, Team Aqua's João Francisco Brito shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Alberto Pires came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Team Aqua reached it. After 90 played minutes Team Aqua got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Guerra. When the referee ended the match the Team Aqua players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
