The Gears of War MZT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elano Motta should have stopped the shot. 29 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Siqueira came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdir Lira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elano Motta having to make a save. 34 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Siqueira came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Duda Teles was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gears of War MZT's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aiuaba the free kick. The supporters of Aiuaba booed when Gears of War MZT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Duda Teles didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Gears of War MZT's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Siqueira came free, but Elano Motta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tomás Siqueira stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee gave Ademar Gerber a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Gualter Nascimento sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Valdir Lira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 69th playminute. Elano Motta made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Valdir Lira sent off a good shot on target. If Percival Prata had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tony Sena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Sena in the 83rd minute of play forced Aiuaba's goalkeeper Paulo Renato de Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 83 minutes, Percival Prata managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gears of War MZT's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Prata was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hudson Abreu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Paulo Renato de Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 89 minutes, Flavinho Quirino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aiuaba's supporters crossed their fingers, but Flavinho Quirino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 91st minute, Valdir Lira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Elano Motta was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Aiuaba eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
