The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinho Cearense in the 7th minute of play forced Jacuarana's goalkeeper José Vítor Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vítor Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Vander in the 8th minute of the match. After 9 played minutes Jacuarana got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Jacinto. Célio Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etxatxu Maquilanda, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The throw-in from Silas Lira in the 14th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Jacuarana's Luiz Eduardo Jacinto. If Etxatxu Maquilanda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Célio Varela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovanni Veloso, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. José Vítor Pernambucano stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo Vander's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Arlindo Vander took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised José Vítor Pernambucano. José Vítor Pernambucano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Jacuarana's goalkeeper José Vítor Pernambucano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arlindo Vander in the 29th minute of play forced Jacuarana's goalkeeper José Vítor Pernambucano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. José Vítor Pernambucano came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by BOA VISTA E.C.'s Arlindo Vander. But to his dismay, Arlindo Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arlindo Vander in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Vítor Pernambucano saved Jacuarana from getting behind. José Vítor Pernambucano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arlindo Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. After taking down the ball on Jacuarana's corner Antônio Carlos Luz fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Célio Varela quite easily take care of the ball. Laerte Seco tried in the 48th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Célio Varela a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2.

The wind increased when Etxatxu Maquilanda made the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Arlindo Vander cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. José Vítor Pernambucano was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chiquinho Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Varela having to interfere. After 61 minutes, Ismael Novaes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BOA VISTA E.C. and the Jacuarana players grew even worse after the yellow card. Luiz Eduardo Jacinto missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 62 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Célio Varela right hand side. A hard shot 64 in the game by Arlindo Vander from a close distance when the talented José Vítor Pernambucano managed to make a qualified save. Jacuarana's players were relieved. If Arlindo Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Arlindo Vander could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but José Vítor Pernambucano made a huge save. Luiz Eduardo Jacinto kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as BOA VISTA E.C.'s Arlindo Vander slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of José Vítor Pernambucano. That made the score 1-4 after 77 minutes of play. Jacuarana's José Vítor Pernambucano proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 81st minute of the match, managed to save Jacuarana from getting a goal against them. José Vítor Pernambucano was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Arlindo Vander showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 83 minute of play. With his leg José Vítor Pernambucano managed to avoid a goal in the 86thth minute, when BOA VISTA E.C.'s Arlindo Vander fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In a very dangerous position, a player in Jacuarana fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 87th minute. Penalty! José Vítor Pernambucano made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Arlindo Vander sent off a good shot on target. Etxatxu Maquilanda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Célio Varela having to interfere. Ismael Novaes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacuarana's Chiquinho Maia got a good chance for a goal in the 99th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Jacuarana fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. BOA VISTA E.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
