The supporters of Real Sertões F.C booed when Pintos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oswaldo Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Naldo Fonseca came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Pintos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naldo Fonseca couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Fonseca was the one to do the kick off. After 51 minutes, Luiz Paulo Alcântara mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Real Sertões F.C and the Pintos players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Real Sertões F.C getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Luiz Paulo Alcântara hit a great ball. Valério Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Fonseca in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute of the game, Toninho Cearense landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Geovanni Vianna during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Pintos's Geovanni Vianna got a free kick in the 98th minute. Pintos's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
