When Haroldo de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Butantã MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo de Queirós couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute, Juninho Aparecido made a precise shot to the right of José Vítor Pernambucano. Jacuarana's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. In the 27th minute Adelino de Mendonça shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 28 played minutes Jacuarana got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Jacinto. 40 minutes into the match, Jacuarana's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo de Queirós came free, but José Vítor Pernambucano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute, Haroldo de Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Jacuarana getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Luz hit a great ball. When Cláudio Messias came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Butantã MZFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cláudio Messias couldn't finish the play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

52 minutes into the match, Juninho Aparecido notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Jacuarana's José Vítor Pernambucano. José Vítor Pernambucano was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 56 minutes into the match, Jacuarana's goalkeeper José Vítor Pernambucano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Juninho Aparecido. Chiquinho Maia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Juarês Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Haroldo de Queirós shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Vítor Pernambucano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haroldo de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Vítor Pernambucano having to interfere. Butantã MZFC's Haroldo de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Juarês Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Etxatxu Maquilanda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 92 played minutes Jacuarana got a freekick which was hit by Luiz Eduardo Jacinto. An unexpected shot in the 94th minute by Haroldo de Queirós got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Juninho Aparecido had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over Butantã MZFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Jacuarana throughout the match.
