Valério Magalhães was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Carlos Barbosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 19 minute of play. If Paulo José Amaral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 25th minute, Carlos Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valério Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 30thth minute of the game Carlos Barbosa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Sertões F.C's Valério Magalhães was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Valério Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Guto Arce's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. Real Sertões F.C's defense didn't have a chance, in the 33rd minute, when Carlos Barbosa scored to the left of an out of position Valério Magalhães, making the score, 3-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guto Arce in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valério Magalhães prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Maurinho Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Sertões F.C's protests and gave Maurinho Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. In the 38th minute, Maurinho Aguiar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 38 minutes, Carlos Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Neto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carlos Barbosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Guto Arce dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Valério Magalhães, 4-0. Toninho Cearense took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlos Freitas. Carlos Freitas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guto Arce to strike the kick off in the second half. With 52 minutes on the clock, Nelson Sá commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 51 minutes into the game, one of Neto FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After some careless play in the Real Sertões F.C defense, Carlos Barbosa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valério Magalhães. The Real Sertões F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valério Magalhães should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Neto FC's zone, Luiz Paulo Alcântara stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carlos Freitas came out of the goal and Luiz Paulo Alcântara tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Arthur Lima recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 69th minute, Carlos Barbosa ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valério Magalhães was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-2. If Carlos Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arthur Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valério Magalhães having to interfere. Valério Magalhães took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Carlos Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neto FC's Tarcisio Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carlos Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Valério Magalhães didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Neto FC. Luiz Paulo Alcântara kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After having played for 94 minutes, Paulo José Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Real Sertões F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulo José Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Neto FC defense, Toninho Paulista kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carlos Freitas. The Neto FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carlos Freitas should have stopped the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Neto FC had played much better football throughout.
