The Olimpia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Olimpia's Wambasther Navas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Olimpia from getting a goal against them. In the 14th minute, Wasyl Lemiesz made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Esteves. SANTA LUZIA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Olimpia's Wasyl Lemiesz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wasyl Lemiesz struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Wilson Esteves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olimpia. Charles da Cunha charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oscar Trancoso in the 36th minute of play forced SANTA LUZIA's goalkeeper Wilson Esteves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 38 minutes into the match, SANTA LUZIA's goal looked a bit too open when Wasyl Lemiesz came free, but Wilson Esteves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Wasyl Lemiesz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Wilson Esteves was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. A collision led to SANTA LUZIA getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Luiz Fabiano Maia hit a great ball. In the 64th minute, Wasyl Lemiesz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute, Wasyl Lemiesz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpia's Wasyl Lemiesz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Wilson Esteves. That made the score 0-5 after 68 minutes of play. SANTA LUZIA's Wilson Esteves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wasyl Lemiesz in the 92nd minute of play. If Avram Iordache had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Olimpia could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than SANTA LUZIA throughout the match.
