The supporters of Cosmos FC booed when FHS Eng was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emanuel de Almeida didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5th minute Fred Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 5 played minutes FHS Eng got a freekick which was hit by Raí Alvarenga. The supporters of FHS Eng booed when Cosmos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ulisses Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. Osvaldo Massa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edu Medeiros in the 13th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel de Almeida in the 16th minute of play forced Cosmos FC's goalkeeper Donato Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With 20 minutes on the clock, Eurico Massa commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. FHS Eng:s Osvaldo Massa showed great skill when he stopped Ulisses Martins:s penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edu Medeiros in the 23rd minute of play forced FHS Eng's goalkeeper Osvaldo Massa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edu Medeiros scored 0-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Osvaldo Massa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Osvaldo Massa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Miguel Travassos's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes of play, Cosmos FC's Fred Toscano made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Osvaldo Massa was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fred Toscano hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Cosmos FC's zone, Raí Alvarenga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Donato Queirós came out of the goal and Raí Alvarenga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to FHS Eng getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Reinaldo Paraibano hit a great ball. FHS Eng's Osvaldo Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miguel Travassos in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes into the game, Lúcio Sampaio cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Osvaldo Massa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. FHS Eng's Osvaldo Massa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Medeiros in the 42nd minute of play. 47 minutes into the match, Edu Medeiros had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Osvaldo Massa. FHS Eng's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edu Medeiros was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edu Medeiros made a kick off. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Fred Toscano took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Osvaldo Massa to make any attempt to save it. Osvaldo Massa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edu Medeiros in the 60th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Cosmos FC got a freekick which was hit by Lúcio Sampaio. Osvaldo Massa came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by Cosmos FC's Edu Medeiros. But to his dismay, Edu Medeiros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-7. In the 82nd minute, Miguel Travassos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Cosmos FC booed when FHS Eng was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Alvarenga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th match minute, FHS Eng was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renatinho Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Miguel Travassos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 86th minute, Edu Medeiros fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Osvaldo Massa, passed just outside the right post. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Jorginho Barbosa took a quick shot and it went in 0-8 without a chance for Osvaldo Massa to make any attempt to save it. Raí Alvarenga's late challenge caught a Cosmos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raí Alvarenga helped the player get up and apologised. In the 94th minute, Raí Alvarenga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Fred Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Massa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Ricardinho Fonseca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
