In the 2nd minute of the match, Fred Toscano tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denis Walmsley saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 3 minutes into the game, Lúcio Sampaio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cosmos FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TaRaO FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Cosmos FC's Lúcio Sampaio got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Severino Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Donato Queirós having to interfere. Jerônimo Zonta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to TaRaO FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cleiton Xavier hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute, TaRaO FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Fred Toscano fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. TaRaO FC's Denis Walmsley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edu Medeiros in the 27th minute of play. Cosmos FC were awarded a corner in the 28th minute after TaRaO FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ulisses Martins took the corner. After taking down the ball on Cosmos FC's corner Ulisses Martins fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Denis Walmsley quite easily take care of the ball. Donato Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the game, Fred Toscano recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Denis Walmsley. Fred Toscano showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 46 minutes into the match, Cosmos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Eduard Ponomarev came free, but Donato Queirós reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edu Medeiros to strike the kick off in the second half. Miguel Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Denis Walmsley having to interfere. Miguel Travassos succeeded in the game's 53rd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-0. A hard shot 58 in the game by Severino Hoffmann from a close distance when the talented Donato Queirós managed to make a qualified save. Cosmos FC's players were relieved. Eduard Ponomarev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Denis Walmsley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Medeiros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduard Ponomarev took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Donato Queirós. Donato Queirós dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. In the 75th match minute, TaRaO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduard Ponomarev to maneuver through the defense. In the 76th minute Miguel Travassos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Denis Walmsley saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of TaRaO FC booed when Cosmos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lúcio Sampaio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jerônimo Zonta received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Donato Queirós came out and tried to block the shot, but Jerônimo Zonta slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 86th minute. 92 minutes into the game, Cosmos FC's Edu Medeiros nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Denis Walmsley made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. TaRaO FC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
