But to his dismay, Haroldo Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Amorim in the 23rd minute of play forced Acadêmico de Viseu's goalkeeper Luizinho Donatello to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizinho Donatello was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jerônimo Amorim showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 25 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubinho Vieira in the 28th minute of play forced Terra Média's goalkeeper Váldson Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Virgílio Campidelis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Luizinho Donatello came out of the goal and Álvaro Cruz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Váldson Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Corrêa in the 75th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Acadêmico de Viseu's Franklin Corrêa got a free kick in the 77th minute. Zé Roberto Amorim hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. In the 89th match minute, Acadêmico de Viseu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kléber Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Jerônimo Amorim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Luizinho Donatello tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Terra Média was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Álvaro Cruz to maneuver through the defense. In the 95th minute, Jerônimo Amorim got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
