In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ibiracu's goalkeeper Ronaldão Tinoco, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arthur de Lara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Ronaldão Tinoco made a huge save. In the 32nd minute, Naldo Abraão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Manuel Vaz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ronaldão Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arthur de Lara took the ball and in the 45 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldão Tinoco. Ronaldão Tinoco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Manuel Vaz to make the kick off. If Manuel Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 57th minute, Arthur de Lara left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The MOCAMBINHENSE SA fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. With a little luck, MOCAMBINHENSE SA's Cássio Custódio got control of the ball when Artur Bezerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Eurico Pereira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. After 81 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Linhares. After having played for 87 minutes, Naldo Abraão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibiracu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Naldo Abraão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Manuel Vaz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldão Tinoco was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. In the 91stth minute of the game Manuel Vaz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ibiracu's Ronaldão Tinoco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Laerte Linhares hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. MOCAMBINHENSE SA fully deserved thier win.
