When Jaime de Queiroz came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Caraguatei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jaime de Queiroz couldn't finish the play. Zeca Gad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime de Queiroz in the 20th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the game, Gil Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zoiudo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caraguatei the free kick. Jaime de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eliézer Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luiz Ribeiro in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th match minute, Zoiudo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tony Silveira to maneuver through the defense. Zeca Gad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dadá Soares in the 35th minute of the match. A collision led to Zoiudo getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Gernando Bertassi hit a great ball. 43 minutes into the game, Caraguatei's Battal Gazi Hürmüz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zeca Gad made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. If Dadá Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Ribeiro made a kick off. Battal Gazi Hürmüz had several of the Zoiudo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-2 score and a disappointed Zeca Gad as he didn't even see the shot coming. 58 minutes had been played when some careless play by Zoiudo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Isaltino Pontes was slow to take the kick. During this time Caraguatei's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Isaltino Pontes got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Zeca Gad quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Jaime de Queiroz was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 65th minute. Caraguatei's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. If Battal Gazi Hürmüz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zeca Gad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeca Gad made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Battal Gazi Hürmüz sent off a good shot on target. If Guga Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Jaime de Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gil Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Caraguatei's Dadá Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Jaime de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraguatei's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zeca Gad breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zeca Gad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime de Queiroz in the 88th minute of the match. If Dadá Soares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Caraguatei left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Zoiudo.
