Battal Gazi Hürmüz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fabinho Favoretto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eliézer Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Marcelo Catarinense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eliézer Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabinho Favoretto in the 23rd minute of the match. Jabuticaba EC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Jaime de Queiroz scored to the left of an out of position Luiz Gustavo Marinho, making the score, 1-0. After 28 played minutes Caraguatei got a freekick which was hit by Isaltino Pontes. After having played for 48 minutes, Battal Gazi Hürmüz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Caraguatei's supporters crossed their fingers, but Battal Gazi Hürmüz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

59 minutes into the game, Battal Gazi Hürmüz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Luiz Gustavo Marinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jaime de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Caraguatei's Murillo Diniz got a free kick in the 68th minute. Jaime de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Luiz Gustavo Marinho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Jabuticaba EC's Fabinho Favoretto got a free kick in the 74th minute. Luiz Gustavo Marinho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Battal Gazi Hürmüz, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dadá Soares in the 82nd minute of play forced Jabuticaba EC's goalkeeper Luiz Gustavo Marinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabinho Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabinho Favoretto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Caraguatei fans cheered their team off the field, for while Jabuticaba EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
