After 7 minutes, Ediberto Valle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Spartacus F.C. and the Tranquera players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th minute, Ediberto Valle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rui Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Spartacus F.C.'s Fabrício Maia got a free kick in the 11th minute. Tranquera's Rui Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 14 minutes of play Spartacus F.C.'s Ediberto Valle was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 15th match minute, Spartacus F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ediberto Valle to maneuver through the defense. In the 18thth minute of the game Hortêncio Bueno who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spartacus F.C.'s Wiliam Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabrício Maia's late challenge caught a Tranquera's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fabrício Maia helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Spartacus F.C.'s Fabrício Maia got a free kick in the 19th minute. Hortêncio Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Wiliam Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the game, Téo Monteiro threw the ball into play from the sideline. Tranquera's Hortêncio Bueno quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Wiliam Amorim made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Hortêncio Bueno sent off a good shot on target. After some careless play in the Spartacus F.C. defense, Hortêncio Bueno kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiliam Amorim. The Spartacus F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiliam Amorim should have stopped the shot. Wiliam Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hortêncio Bueno in the 36th minute of play. The supporters of Tranquera booed when Spartacus F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Donatello didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luciano Donatello hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

52 minutes into the game, Tranquera's Hortêncio Bueno nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wiliam Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. After 56 minutes Spartacus F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hortêncio Bueno who took care of the corner kick. The corner led to Tranquera's Rui Nunes getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Hortêncio Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Wiliam Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Eduardo Gaúcho in the 67th minute of play forced Tranquera's goalkeeper Gerson de Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Hortêncio Bueno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hortêncio Bueno in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabrício Maia was shown his second yellow card after 76 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Wiliam Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Bueno, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Bueno in the 90th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wiliam Amorim saved Spartacus F.C. from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Tranquera's Rui Nunes got a free kick in the 96th minute.
