Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Jaime de Queiroz took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 3rd minute Jaime de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eliézer Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Laerte Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 6th minute, Artur Bezerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jaime de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Laerte Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jaime de Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 15th minute, Arnaldo Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ronaldão Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dadá Soares in the 16th minute of play. When Battal Gazi Hürmüz came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Caraguatei fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Battal Gazi Hürmüz couldn't finish the play. Battal Gazi Hürmüz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Tinoco having to interfere. Cléberson Massa kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Cléberson Massa's late challenge caught a Caraguatei's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cléberson Massa helped the player get up and apologised. After 28 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Massa. Luís Fábio Rodrigues's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ronaldão Tinoco read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Artur Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Jaime de Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Caraguatei getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Rafa Ferreira hit a great ball. Laerte Linhares charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Laerte Linhares the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Laerte Linhares hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Laerte Linhares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Naldo Abraão didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Caraguatei's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Abraão came free, but Eliézer Pena reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 59 minutes into the game, Alan Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ibiracu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Caraguatei the free kick. After 59 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Alan Brito. Alan Brito hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. After 65 played minutes Ibiracu got a freekick which was hit by Cléberson Massa. Eliézer Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Naldo Abraão in the 69th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Artur Bezerra during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Artur Bezerra kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. After 77 minutes of play, Ibiracu's Laerte Linhares made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Pena was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Ibiracu getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Artur Bezerra hit a great ball. Jaime de Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Ronaldão Tinoco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Caraguatei's Dadá Soares got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute Jaime de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronaldão Tinoco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
