Wiliam Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isaltino Pontes in the 17th minute of play. In the 27th match minute, Spartacus F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luciano Donatello to maneuver through the defense. If Téo Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuno Loureiro kicked well hit freekick during the 36th minute of the match. In the 37th minute of the match Fabrício Maia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eliézer Pena showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Luciano Donatello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Ediberto Valle kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Eliézer Pena. That made the score 1-0 in the 43 minute of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Perivaldo Custódio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Perivaldo Custódio took the ball and in the 52 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eliézer Pena. Eliézer Pena dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Dadá Soares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Wiliam Amorim tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
